After answering the question “Tell me about yourself” at least thirty times in the last five months, my mind immediately jumps to “I’m currently pursuing a masters in stats at Stanford…” The ability to describe myself apart from my degree is a luxury I haven’t had in months.
My LinkedIn profile states that I have degrees in Statistics and Psychology from Berkeley and Stanford, and am currently waiting to begin a six-month internship in data analytics for an entertainment company (or it will once I update it).
A few more interesting facts about me, not on my LinkedIn profile:
I am a follower of Jesus.
I am a fifth-generation Asian American who has lived in California my entire life.
I am an avid reader and occasional writer.
I am a moderately serious knitter and casual scrapbooker.
I am typically clueless when it comes to current events, but I’m trying to get better at that.
I am a cynic and an idealist.
I am like a tortoise – slow but steady (and I will win the race!).
